Our Motto

Our Vision

Children, parents, staff, governors and the wider community, working together to provide, within a happy and secure environment, purposeful, fun, yet challenging experiences so that all the children are able to fulfil their potential and acquire the skills to become confident, moral and successful citizens in the future.

Our Aims

  • To create a happy and safe, caring and inclusive environment where all children can develop intellectually, socially, morally and physically.
  • Provide each child with the knowledge and skill that will enable them to reach their full potential in a challenging and rapidly changing world.
  • Provide an ethos which enables children to be happy, self-confident and have high self esteem.
  • Encourage children to become independent, co-operative and reflective learners who are able to both understand their own learning and have a love of learning.
  • Provide an environment in which staff can be courageous, progressive and reflective thinkers sharing a collegiate approach.
  • Encourage excellent behaviour by providing clear, consistent guidelines within school and the wider community.
  • Foster in children a caring and considerate nature, leading them to become reliable and responsible members of society who value and respect cultural diversity, religious diversity as well as social diversity.
  • Celebrate the achievements of all children and support with values which encourage a pride in their work, their immediate environment and the wider world.
  • To create a welcoming and open school, in which parents, governors, children and staff can work together feeling valued and respected.
  • Our school policies reflect the need to ensure equal opportunities for all pupils and through the curriculum provided, take account of children’s varying backgrounds, cultures and special educational need.

Did you know?

The ethos of our school is evident in our motto, and in our vision.

We consider the kinds of the things the school should be focussed on, things that will help us become and remain the school we aspire to be in our vision - and these are things become our our aims.

Much of the work that goes on in school, and by the Governing Body, is done specifically to further one or more of our aims.
