Parents Against Child Exploitation

PACE helps parents across the UK understand what is happening to their child and how parents PACE Logoare the prime agents in helping their child exit exploitative relationships.

It does this by offering:

  • One-to-one telephone advice and support to parents
  • Facilitating meetings with similarly-affected parents for peer support
  • Advising how to establish rights as parents and work in partnership with statutory agents such as police and social workers
  • Advice and support when pursuing disruption and prosecution of the perpetrators of child exploitation
  • Befriending scheme

Prevent

Prevent is about safeguarding and supporting those vulnerable to radicalisation and extremism.

Prevent is one of the four elements of CONTEST, the Government's counter-terrorism strategy. It aims to stop people becoming terrorists or supporting terrorism.

CONTEST is split into four work-streams that are known within the counter-terrorism community as the Four P's:

  • Prevent
  • Pursue
  • Protect
  • Prepare

Domestic Abuse

If you are a victim of domestic abuse and violence, or know someone who is, there is help available.

The West Mercia Women's Aid Helpline on 0800 980 3331 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is staffed by trained workers who can offer you support, safety planning, information and advice.

Men's Advice Line on 0808 801 0327 (Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm).

In an emergency always dial 999 and ask for police.  If you are not safe to speak, dial 999 and then press 55. Further guidance on this 'Silent Solution' is available on the Independent Office for Police Conduct website.
